Deck

A Hermeneutic Code, as it isn't entirely clear to the reader how exactly it works, but more understanding is achieved as the novel goes on. A deck seems to be a futuristic version of a computer mixed with a video game controller. The user seems to be able to use it even while in the trance of cyberspace. How it works is a Cultural Code, as deck-use is a body of knowledge within the novel.
